Notes on visibility, reputation, and the unglamorous mechanics of getting a service business found. Written from what actually happened, including the parts that did not work.

I write about the thing I keep running into from three different directions: most businesses are not losing on quality. They are losing on being findable, and on being trustworthy in the ten seconds after they are found.

That is the whole subject. Sometimes it looks like a Google Business Profile. Sometimes it looks like a review that should not be there. Sometimes it looks like a photograph that makes someone look like a stranger.

This is new, so there is not much here yet. It will fill up.

In the meantime I post most days on Instagram and LinkedIn, and the longer technical pieces go on the Spearleaf site where they belong.
